The spirit of the holidays is here. Mall parking lots are full of cars, houses are lit up and full of life, and kids will soon be searching the skies for an old jolly fellow that rides in a sleigh behind flying reindeer…with their gift on board. Have you got all of your gifts in…

By David Aronson | 2010-10-31

The PetSet Halloween Masquerade Party was held at Yolo in Las Olas on October 30th. The work attire stayed at home and in it’s place were some costumes that really showed your creativity and attention to detail. Even the Devil showed up! Whether you were a mummy, a film character, or something sexy or scary,…

The White Party came to a conclusion and the photos are in. The attendees and sponsors, dressed in white of course, were brought together at Fort Lauderdale’s W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale to help raise funds for the Humane Society. $16,000 was raised…that’s a lot of kibble from one night’s efforts! The white party was…

BMW’S “M” SCHOOL (1 VIDEO)

By David Aronson | 2010-06-01

What does it feel like to push a car to the edge? Better yet, how will I feel pushing a car to the ragged edge?! These were the questions that I wanted to address. The BMW Performance Driving School is the perfect place to learn the same skill sets that professional drivers work on every day. Come along for the ride…you’ll see how to optimize the M car’s attitude to the conditions and road at hand. You’ll become a smoother driver for it! After all, power is nothing if you can’t handle it. So come along for a ride as we take the M6 out for a spin; all 500 HP’s roaring from a V-10…argh argh argh!

HOME OR OFFICE PHOTO WALL MONTAGE

By David Aronson | 2010-04-04

GOOD MORNING Today we are going to look into creating abstracts with an iPhone, but the technique discussed applies to all automatic style point-and-shoot cameras. Now my photo is no work of art as it was just quickly snapped with my iPhone, but I wanted to share the idea without getting kicked out (grin). It…

LOST IN THE ALPS :: “HIT THE ROAD” (EPISODE 3)

By David Aronson | 2009-01-01

This was the first day of the bike ride. We picked up our motorcycles, made some adjustments, then off we went. We start down the road for a brief stop in Monte Carlo (Monaco) before heading into the foothills of the Alps. We end the day with an unplanned over-night in Sospel (France) due to running low on fuel (the village ran out of fuel too) and the approaching rain.

LOST IN THE ALPS :: “DRUNKEN DRAGON” (EPISODE 4)

By David Aronson | 2009-01-01

The day begins in Sospel (France) with loading up on the fuel that just arrived into the village. It would be too easy to take the tunnel through the mountains to Italy, but we take the “Drunken Dragon Trail”…sober of course. We pass through Cuneo & Saluzzo (Italy) before ending the day in Pinerolo (Italy).

From Pinerolo (Italy) we attempt to cross the Alps but have a run-in with the Italian Gestapo in Parco Naturale Orsiera Rocciavré near Depot (Italy). This area west of Torino (Sestriere) is where the 2006 Winter Olympics were held. We end up in Susa (Italy) by day’s end.

LOST IN THE ALPS :: “CONFUSED BUT NOT LOST” (EPISODE 6)

By David Aronson | 2009-01-01

Leaving Susa (Italy), we get confused…but not lost…in a small village called Giaglione (Italy) and eventually cross the Alps via “The Road of Stones” to Col du Mont Cenis (France). Northeast of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc (France) was the best ride I have ever had running through the “twisties”. It was a short-cut that turned out to be a great ride of “follow the leader” across the Swiss border. The day ends with our arrival into Martigny (Switzerland).
